Mm, it does often take a couple of chapters before you can tell whether a story is going to go anywhere interesting, so I definitely get that. (And really, plot-driven, early-timeline stuff in any fandom is pretty unusual by my usual writing standards too, so it's been a challenging project.) I'm glad to hear you found it worth coming back to though - and I hope the remaining parts will live up to expectations.
