The location's a bit vague, but I've been working on the general assumption they're in Japan (or at least, the country people used to call Japan). For example, presumably The Tower is the same good old Tokyo Tower from X or the Acid Tokyo (amusingly, this would mean Tokyo Tower is for once almost the only surviving structure when the rest of the city has been taken out XD) - and I suspect taking them across whole continents may be a bit more than even the ghosts can pull off. But I'm sure they must have wound up somewhere very similar, all the same.
