(Sorry for the slow reply here, I managed to miss this comment at first)
With the sir/-sama problem - yeah, there isn't really an ideal solution, whatever you choose. Translating name suffixes and the like is one of the most irritating parts of writing Japanese-fandom based fic sometimes. It's so hard to find an English language equivalent which works the same way, but leaving them out altogether often doesn't work any better.
For the purposes of the fic, I'm just suggesting that the letters S.I.N. stood for the name some mad scientist gave the project that created him (which would probably work a lot better if I'd actually figured out what they stood for, but since it never becomes much of a plot point, I'm getting away with leaving that out). The only remotely serious guess I've got to where a name like "Sin" might have come from is that it's yet another heavy metal music reference of some kind. But realistically, where his name came from is pretty far down my list of burning questions about the guy right now - and so far, there isn't nearly enough information out yet to base much of a guess on.
XD I should see if I can get some more written today sometime. Too many distractions around at the moment, but I've got most of the scene I was stuck on last figure out, so no reason no to get it written out~
