Dicworld fic seeks beta reader

Finishing a story up to betaing stage is not usually this embarrassing, but here it is: the Discworld fic referenced up there in the subject line was based on a prompt from factorielle from some time ago. Now that I've actually gone back through the archives to find that link, it turns out the exact date on that is almost a full year ago. *hangs head in shame* I'm sure there's a message in this, and it's about to knowing better than to post requests memes when one is already writing a novel and working through an in-progress list which is already on the long side. Please don't even ask about the rest of the fics that were requested at the same time. The best I will be able to do is apologise. >.>

That said, the fic is done, and I really could use a volunteer to beta it for me. Preferably soon, so the finished version goes up some time before that one year mark is reached. ^^;

I can do it. sonnlich at gmail etc. I know the Discworld canon pretty well, and I feel I will have reduced my giant emergency beta services debt to you. ;)

Have you read Thud and/or Where's My Cow? They'd be the main required pre-reading, + anything with Ponder, since the fic is all about Ponder and Young Sam.

(No worries on the other beta job - I could hardly let you guys post that much fic online without having someone proof it for you. Just try and leave a few more days leeway in future! =P)

Yep. More than once on all points - I don't think there's a Discworld novel I haven't read. :)
