It's definitely produced some great stories! You'd have to be very careful with an idea like that though, given how much stereotyping and urban myths get messed up in Native American culture, particularly the spiritual aspect. (And perhaps even more so considering I hear there *was* a Spider-Man arc already that tried to write his origin in terms of animal-totem ideas, and it went down like a lead balloon.)
