The 'Fandoms I have loved' meme

"I'm not going to write one of these", she says. "Honestly, I have too many fandoms to choose from. I wouldn't know where to start."
For the record, this is entirely
jaseroque's fault.
Astroboy was the one that deserted you for five whole years. Just when you least expected it, he came back into your life once more! …only to disappear again – this time for good – and finally, broken hearted, you moved on.
Star Wars, Star Trek, they sure felt like they counted at the time, but in retrospect they might never have been much more than your Astroboy rebound.
The Lord of the Rings and Douglas Adams are the good friends who will never be more than that, but they’ve always been there in ways those people who only see them as what they’ve developed into since can’t entirely get.
Terminator II could have been the big one – hell, maybe it was the big one, but after six months together there just wasn’t enough in it to keep you there.
Dragonball was the one that showed you you really could fall in love. Alas, you were probably too young for real, lasting commitment, but it’s the one you’ll always remember fondly.
After that you were an absolute slut with anyone you found in anime fandoms – some of them barely lasted two weeks. There were some who were around longer than others – Kenshin, Slayers, Trigun, Inu Yasha, Clamp, Get Backers, FMA. You’re still on speaking terms with most of them though, maybe the trick is just to know when it’s not serious.
Naruto was everything you ever loved about Dragonball, only newer – he got you involved in ways you’d only ever seen happen to other people before. These days though you’re just not sure if he’s the same person you met anymore. You’re still holding on in the hope things take a turn for the better – and they could, you know, it’s not over yet.
Smallville was another one you didn't get what everyone else saw in, but of course, those are always the ones you fall hardest for in the end. This may not be healthy, given that he treats you like shit as often as not - sometimes you think maybe you're just hanging around so that he's the one that leaves first. Even if it does all go pear shaped though, you might have him to thank for a lot of people you might never have met otherwise.
...one of whom is DC. You're slightly worried that DC maybe just the one you're using to take up your time between real relationships, but hey, it's been fun, you don't worry too hard.
Firefly was the one you were separated from by circumstances beyond either of your control. You still hang on to the hope he'll call someday and it'll all be OK, but you're probably kidding yourself.
Y'know, I'm sure I never used to get milage like this out of my embarrassed Trunks icon. This can't be a good sign.
